E, By, Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} V4653a To HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from G.W.H. Hotel de France, Chateauroux; Indre. France. 21st July 1934. Re the rear cross member behind the gear box. This is now definitely leaning backwards and the pads are out of line. The gear box does not appear to have dropped. The cause in my opinion is due to the weakness in the structure of the cross member, and has kinked due to tho shape or rolling backwards for the reception of the rubber black. It could be prevented by making the cross member box shape each si de of the buffers. G.W.H. | ||
