As a final test, test 11 was repeated with a standard banjo attachment - Test 12. The effective loss was relatively small.
So far the effect of each modification has only been considered relative to the immediately preceding test. If we consider the final results (test 11) in relation to those obtained with the original setting we find that the delivery has been increased by 70 to 80 pts/hr. The most effective modification being the heavy springs, the "air bottle", increasing the suction passage, and increasing the diameter of the valve ports.
