I had lately thought that there would be changes in the wiring and switch which would make such a change undesirable. Also it seems like throwing away too much. I think Lucas' are too expensive for their replace armature. We could re-wind them ourselves, using some of the old parts - i.e. armature plates & commutators; this is only a suggestion.
