This column is for Name of Person addressed. DATE. 469 Mr. Johnson OCT: 28th. [STAMP: C 28 X 12] Owing to there being a black fog all day long yesterday in Leeds, Mr. Stephen Cliff did not wish to start out on a demonstration run on the L. - E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} car which I had taken to him by appointment for the purpose. However I was able to reach his house and spent most of the morning with him and his man in his Garage explaining details of the car; and subsequently I took the chauffeur a run to Harrogate, and let him drive part of the way himself. The conditions of this case are rather peculiar and I am not at all sure that it is one in which we can expect to sell a car. Mr. Cliff is an old bachelor evidently very well off whose sole hobby is his interest in motoring. Up to this point he has been a very great exponent of the Napier. He owns 2 65 H.P. and This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. CONTINUED | ||
