109M To Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Jnr.{Charles L. Jenner} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/MH.{M. Huckerby}23.10.39. Attached is a copy of a memo I wrote as a result of my recent visit to Vauxhalls. It is interesting to note that our rear dampers weigh 29 lbs. and the Vauxhall dampers only 16. We are getting a pair of the Vauxhall dampers. We are inclined to instruct the tank in thin gauge material and run it to see what happens. We must say that we have never had a leaking American petrol tank in all the cars we have had. We shall try and "cash in" on the light wheels that Vauxhalls manage to develop.
