Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RG.{Mr Rowledge}2/ET.30.8.40 - 2 - One further comment on Mr. Sherwin's article: With the light gauge material we anticipate using, there will still be suffi-cient flexibility in the structure to minimise the possibility of road shock caused by frame rigidity. We are aiming at a stiffness equivalent to 4500 ft. lbs. per degree and would be content with this figure as low as 4000 ft. lbs. per degree, believing that this structure somewhere between these figures should give a perfectly satisfactory ride.
