Glider Launching Winch.

Dear Robotham

Here is a drawing of a standard R.A.F. trailer.

2. Wing Commander Cozens R.D.M.T., M.A.P. suggests that the cable should go over the front or back; as he thinks that an oscillation might get up with the elasticity of the cable and of the springs and tyres of the trailer, if it leads over the side of the trailer.

3. I expect permanent jacks will be needed, or possibly a concrete stand with chocks.

4. Cozens also suggested that it might be convenient for you to get any more information you want on the trailer direct from the makers at Warwick. But I expect you will want to apply to M.A.P. for one straight away.

Yours
Mungo Buxton
