-2- (1) With S and T switched on, light is obtained from terminals Nos. 2 and 5. (2) With HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and T switched on, light is obtained from terminals Nos. 2, 4, and 5. (3) With I only switched on, light is obtained from terminal No.3 only. (4) With I and C switched on, light is obtained from terminals Nos. 1, 3 and R.{Sir Henry Royce} Confirm also that in moving slowly back from the position I and C to I, the circuit through No.1 is broken before that through R.{Sir Henry Royce} (b) Connect battery positive to terminal N and loose lamp wire to case. Ascertain that no light is obtained except in the off position only. (c) Now remove battery positive from N and connect it to 7. Then connect battery negative to case. Connect lamp between terminal CL and case and ascertain that it lights by operating the press button switch.
