FORT DUNLOP ERDINGTON BIRMINGHAM. Messrs.Rolls-Royce Limited, DERBY. 12th March 1935. For the attention of Mr.G.W.Hancock. Dear Sirs, New Type Jack for Bentley Cars. With reference to our conversation and the writer's interview with you recently, we are able to confirm that apart from the rolled steel tubular section which involves very expensive tooling and for which we see no difficulty in providing a substitute, there is nothing in the competitive Jack which we cannot make. We are, therefore, proceeding with a sample which we will submit to you at the earliest possible moment. Yours faithfully, FOR DUNLOP RUBBER CO.,LTD., Sales Manager - Accessories.
Handwritten: GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Have they given you a date? Pom. Frank P Carr. No. This is the first reply since Mr Carr took the jacks for investigation. Ho/JHTS.
