To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Chateauroux. 400 b. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}2.11.38. We have received the rear universal joint. The damage is so extensive that it is difficult to say what happened first. We agree with you, however, that 20° is required and we are arranging with Hardy Spicer to provide this. In future will you please when sending back to Derby parts that have failed at Chateauroux, enclose a short note to Pope giving particulars of these parts to avoid delay in the Customs.
