Contd. -6- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL/T20.5.26. It would seem that the above points should tend to result in quick return of the spring to its equilibrium position with small resistance to deflections of the spring under light "bumps". The tests were taken with an oil temperature of 34 to 35°C. The viscosity exerted considerable influence on the results and cases were noticed where cold oil halved the effective velocity for the same resistance. No results were, however, recorded with temperatures other than stated above. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL. | ||
