X8840 Expl: Dept: Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby, Angleterre. 17th. June 1925. Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, France. Mr. Hancock from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} With reference to the daily report dated 14.6.25. We are very anxious to have a report in connection with the Autovac suction system which was choked up with carbon. We want to know exactly what part was choked up. Will you please let us have full particulars. Now that the oil consumption is reasonable, we think we ought to be able to make a better test with connecting rods. With reference to oil leaks from the gearbox, you say now that the main leak comes from the crankcase. We take it that the main leak from the gearbox is the vent hole from the speedometer-drive. We should like to know what your recommendations are for over-coming this leak from the gearbox. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
