Report on test of old type weak Torque Tubes G.434/1 with Double Rear Brakes. - X.713 A set of the old type weak torque tubes were fitted to experimental car 2300 a month or so ago and the car has been frequently used severely on rough roads, the condition of the torque tube being observed meanwhile. No breakage or sign of weakness has shown up to the present and the tubes are being left on the car where they will be examined from time to time for signs of damage and if any failure occurs we will report same. The distance covered to date is 1670 miles. | ||
