To Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} X4552. filing Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 3/MJ. 30. 8. 29. We note your remarks re, the discontinuance of the 70 to 75 lbs. tyre gauge. We quite agree that this gauge is entirely unsuitable for our present type of tyre. Apparently however, we have a very large stock of this gauge. We do not know why we have such a big stock of gauges but we agreed with ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} some weeks ago that the gauge No.4996a reading from 10 to 50 lbs. should be brought in as soon as possible.
