Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG22. 2. 23. SPARE WHEEL CARRIER FOR 20 HP. CARS. X4085 X4219 There have been several instances of the bolt fixing the spare wheel on the rear carrier, working loose and in some cases dropping out altogether. This occurred on several cars after they had been delivered to 'Sales'. We have now heard from Maddocks who has taken 4-Goshawk-ll car to the south of France, that on the way down, the bolt came out entirely - when he stopped he found it resting on the luggage grid. As soon as the bolt works out, there is nothing to prevent the spare wheel carrier being lost. In the case of 4-Goshawk-ll, the spare wheel carrier has not been altered since it was originally fitted 15 months ago. It is the same as when the car was run in France last year. We feel that we should immediately provide some means for locking this bolt. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
