Dear Sirs,

Attention Mr.A.F.Martindale

Many thanks for your letter of the 23rd of October confirming our agreement regarding the experimental brakes now in hand for you.

Needless to say, I am very disappointed that, according to present indications, you will not be able to fit this brake into your production scheme for the next few years.

I am sufficiently optimistic to feel that, after you have completed your tests of this sample pair of brakes, you may wish to revise this decision.

I will write to you again in the course of the next few days, letting you know when the brakes will be completed, and I look forward with much interest to the results of your tests.

Yours sincerely,

J.S.IRVING
Joint General Manager.
