SECRET. 10 HH To Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/HH. from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/JH.8.3.30. re Chassis with B.80 Engine. It is reported that on all cars with the B.80 engine and the bent front pan, it is impossible to remove the fan belt without lifting the front of the engine. On our schemes of this engine fitted in the frame we shew reasonable clearance for the removal of the fan belt in every case. We can therefore do nothing more as a design section, and we suggest you make a layout to check up on the detail and frame drilling. The cars concerned are :- Silver Phantom - 30.G.7. 33.G.7. Cresta - 4.B.50. Comet - 11.B.V. All are identical as far as the portion in front of the dash is concerned. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
