X4462 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW. 18th February, 1935. The Earl of Rothes. The India Tyre & Rubber Co.Ltd., Mileage Dept. (Area 'B'), 80, Clapham Road, London, S.W.9. Dear Rothes, Thank you for the trouble you took with my father-in-law on Saturday. I am arranging for a standard column to be sent down for this car. With regard to the deposit necessitating the deal going through Bentley Motors Ltd., this is not so, as I made special provision in this matter, and quote a paragraph from one of Bentley Motors' letters on the subject. "We understand from Mr. Robotham of our Derby Works that you are desirous of confirming your order for a 3½ litre Bentley standard 4-door Saloon by Messrs. Park, Ward & Co.Ltd., the chassis of which we have reserved for delivery the end of December, complete car 5/6 weeks later, but in doing so, you reserved the right to place the order through any trader you may wish to name. We therefore have pleasure in enclosing herewith our official order form for the car, which we would ask you kindly to complete and return to us, together with deposit mentioned thereon. Yours sincerely, | ||
