KESTREL SIX CYLINDER UNIT NO.1.

Will you please modernize this unit as follows:-

Conn. Rods. - Goshawk type with ears sawn off.

Big ends & Main Bearings. - Lead Bronze incorporating any modifications considered necessary.

Pistons. - New designs are expected shortly and these will then be instructed.

Block. - Latest type Goshawk block.

Camshaft - E.40042.

Valves. - Stellited sodium cooled tulip exhaust valves in H.R. crown material standard inlets.

Valve Seats. - N.H.C. inlet and exhaust.

Oil Pumps. - Standard existing (L.O.P. E.35666)

Supercharger - It is proposed that this unit will be transferred from one engine to the other for the time being.

Gudgeon Pin. - S.Z.N.C.R. material similar to the one instructed by By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} for the C.I. unit.
