1245 W/P. To Sr. from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/MH.{M. Huckerby}12.2.40. 14.B.V. - CORNICHE. I have asked Pope to send you all the papers in connection with this car. The situation is that by some curious mistake, though the car was actually brought back to England as a chassis, it was passed by the Customs as being a complete car. An argument has been going on about it ever since. We think that when the body arrives in England with the manufacturer's certificate that it was fitted to 14.B.V. chassis, and the repairers' certificate that they had removed the chassis from the body for repairs, we shall be able to square the matter up. It should come by the same route as the chassis, which was Dieppe-Newhaven. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
