Steady for Rear Brake Shoes.

Senior Range.

HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth}4/BA.15/2.40, asks for a rear brake shoe steady mounted on the carrier plate instead of the water excluder.

The work that has just been done on the wider rear brakes for the Senior Range, has brought to light the fact that a steady of this type was designed on GCD.1426, and detailed, the part number being GB.5286.

This clears the oil drain, and is suitable for use on the semi-floating axle only. It should therefore be included in the specification of Rationalised Senior Range cars in conjunction with the steel shoes.
