BRAKES 26.G.VI & 6.B.IV.

We have sent to you two sets of star springs for the Wraith, which have had the centre keys removed and are located by small clips instead. This is to prevent the star springs sticking and becoming inoperative. We have sent two lots because the first clip was badly made.

We can easily get judders on our Wraiths provided we remove the star springs, or allow them to stick: but if they act as intended we cannot get judders. You seem to have come to the conclusion that something periodically sticks: this seems to fit in with our findings.

Reference your telephone call, the additional front pull off spring was not fitted to your Wraith as it was not made. We are sending you one out and it is simple to fit. It will reduce the wear of the front brakes, under light brake applications.

The trouble you are having with your Bentley front brakes is largely due to the fact that until we get independent suspension we cannot fit adequate front drums made of iron. Your Girling rear brakes have an unfair advantage under hard driving conditions. The reduced front brakes should help you somewhat.
