Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KT.2.2.30. Handwritten: x5770. x7960. CHANGING UNITS. 12.G.IV. & G.L.N.60. Will you please arrange to change tha units over in these two cars. The unit in 12.G.IV is O.K. except that it should be decarbonised and have the valves ground in. The clutch has recently shewn signs of fierceness and should therefore be examined for out of truth. It has a roller race on the clutch shaft which requires a hole for lubrication, we will instruct this when you have the unit out. With regard to 12.G.IV there should be no complications in fitting the unit out of G.L.N.60. For the time being we do not want the support at the rear of the gearbox with this unit.
