To R.{Sir Henry Royce} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to SS.{S. Smith} WOP. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} No. S/MJ. 8.7.30. x766 x3531 COMPARATIVE OVERHEATING TESTS WITH OTHER MAKES OF CARS. -------------------- We will endeavour to get hold of some of the cars you mention, and to make comparative tests as regards over-heating. It may be difficult to get hold of a 12 cylinder Maybach in England, but we ought to be able to make arrangements for some of the well known American cars. We think that, to be strictly comparative, the tests should be carried out on Brooklands Track. As regards obtaining the cars, we propose letting Rn.{Mr Robinson} go to London one day and see what arrangements can be made as regards borrowing them. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
