ADVANCE INFORMATION FOR
AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURERS.

MOBILOIL (Clearosol Process)
Important Technical Developments.

The Vacuum Oil Co. Ltd. has pleasure in announcing the introduction of new grades of engine oils made by an entirely new and exclusive refining method - known as the Clearosol Process (Solvent Extraction).

Lubricants manufactured by the Clearosol Process show the following important improvements:

1. Flatter viscosity curves than have hitherto been known in automobile oils, combined with considerably improved lubricating properties.

2. Sludge formation in crankcases reduced to a negligible factor.

3. Gummy deposits on valves and pistons virtually eliminated.

4. Carbon deposits on pistons, etc. further substantially reduced.

5. Easier and quicker starting due to improved viscosities at low temperatures, resulting in less battery drain.

6. Quicker oil circulation when starting from cold, thus reducing wear.

7. Reduced oil consumptions.

This marked advance in refining methods allows a reduction in the number of engine oils required to lubricate all types of automobile and stationary engines.

Clearosol Process - Special Features.

The process consists of using at certain stages of refin-ing two solvents for the more effective removal from lubricat-ing oils of those undesirable constituents that set up sludge formations and gummy deposits in engines, especially under
