WRAITH 111. STANDARD PARTS.

October 1937 to March 1937.

As requested we give below a summary of the work done in connection with the reduction in number of special parts :-

Standard (K and KB) Parts on Wraith 416
Other small parts (Non-standards) " 758
----
Total 1174
----

The number of parts cancelled and replaced by Standard parts is 92. This figure should, of course be nil, and is dependent on the endeavour made by the Design and Detail Departments to use standard parts.

The ratio of non-standard to standard parts is almost 2 to 1, and this figure seems to be rather high, especially when it is realised that this non-standard group includes such features as special bolts, nuts, washers etc.

Now that the cards recording parts used on Wraith are available in the Drawing Office, we expect a reduction in the number of new small parts drawings produced, and when B.lll figures are available a further improvement should be observable.
