Cracked Valve Seats.
8.B.V. was fitted with the original type Head, and 4 valve seats were cracked during the test. This confirms the wisdom of decision to hold up the old heads.

Propeller Shaft.
As the result of further experience it is proposed to fit a larger propeller shaft when convenient. French tests were satisfactory, but the shaft on Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s car shewed signs of trouble, due to the use of the car in traffic conditions i.e. considerable stopping and starting as against French test conditions.
