TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to BJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M23.7.26. EAC.7. REAR BRAKES. X7360 We send herewith N. scheme 2234. shewing the promised modification to the rear brake camshaft and toggle gear required by Mr. Royce. It will be seen that the shoes are altered, and there is considerable alteration to the pieces of the brake gear, including the central carrier forging, but the hub, brake drum, etc, remain the same. A new method of cutting the cams is shewn, which allows for a solid collar for oil throwing. R.{Sir Henry Royce} wishes that the first EAC. 7. should have the modifications shewn on N. schemes 2231/32/34. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
