X4118 To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. c. Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} c. ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} c. C. BJ6/H16.12.25. AMMETER X.1162 X.4117 I attach a copy of a letter from Mr. C.A.Hyde. The following is an extract from the minutes of yesterday's Sales Conference :- The letter from Mr. C.A. Hyde of Dec. 10th was considered, in which he complained that he had an American ammeter on his British Rolls-Royce Car. The fitting of American accessories to the 20 HP. helps to keep alive the rumour that they are partly made in America. It is extremely desirable that a British ammeter should be fitted, and Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is to be asked whether any recent experiments have been made with British ammeters, and whether one of these instruments cannot be adopted now."
