I think on the new chassis we should endeavour to fit a convenient means of withdrawing the lever from the shaft. On this old design it might be advisable to leave a simple collar in which a hub drawer could be used. I certainly do not like cutting down the actuating nut and apparently the diameter of the boss. The screw thread to be put on the lever also would appear to be rather inconvenient, but about this you will let me know; it depends so much upon the machines at the works, that is, whether they can swing the lever. | ||
