Scintilla Magnetos.
We have to thank you for the various interviews you have been good enough to accord to our representative, Captain Burne, in connection with the above matter, and are very glad to hear from him that the two magnetos sent through to you recently have been subjected to examination, and that they will be tried out.
The small points regarding the details of construction which you have mentioned to Captain Burne as being not quite in line with your requirements can be reverted to later on, if desired. The point which has been raised regarding the angle of the timing lever is evidently due to a misapprehension, as provision is made on the magneto for locating this lever in any one of eight different positions.
We are quite willing that the sample magnetos we have sent you shall remain in your possession for as long a period as may be desired (say up to twelve months), so that any tests you may wish to make can be carried out at any time convenient to you. Alternatively - although it is not in accordance with the usual practice of the
