We have looked into the question of permitting a radius at the junctions of the top plate and unions, and are of the opinion that we can permit a .015" radius at this point. The reason that we cannot specify a larger radius is that the union is 1.117 dia. (-4), while the washer at present is 1.125 dia. (+ 10) - we will increase the washer internal dia. to 1.150 (+ 10), but this is the maximum possible reduction of washer area.

If this is satisfactory to you, will you please notify us as to when you are commencing to manufacture coolers with this modification, and let us have the number of the first cooler so built, so that we instruct the correct washers to be fitted.

We are returning the unfinished standard cooler to you, having examined same.
