O.O. C. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x4469 BY10/G.16.10.30. 11 1/2 11 5/8 x4469 x7010. It has been decided that we should order 12 forgings of our standard type P.11 crankshaft in nitralloy steel. The new piece number for this is E.81571. Dimensionally it is the same as the present standard crank. The steel should be produced by Messrs. Firths, and the forgings should be produced in our dies by our usual suppliers. We should therefore make the necessary arrangements for Messrs. Firths to produce the billets, and hand them over to the English Steel Corporation. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} B27 | ||
