CONTRACTORS TO H.M. GOVERNMENT, PRINCIPAL RAILWAYS, TRAMWAYS, MINES, ETC. JAMES COCHRANE & CO., (J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} COCHRANE) TELEPHONE: AVENUE 1573. TELEGRAMS & CABLES: JICORANE, FEN, LONDON. CODES: A.B.C. 4TH & 5TH EDITIONS & BENTLEYS. 101, LEADENHALL STREET, LONDON, E.C.3. March 1937. Gentlemen, RESEARCH & TESTING EQUIPMENT. We have in the past sent you some descriptive matter relative to the "STROBORAMA" research and testing equipment, and the "STROBORET" TELE-TACHOMETER and the uses of these apparata will no doubt be familiar to you. We believe, nevertheless, that a somewhat more detailed description may be of interest in view of the great necessity at the present time, in particular, for the highest possible precision in manufacturing, and the use of the best possible equipment for general research purposes. We enclose some additional notes which we trust may receive the perusal and consideration of your production, research and testing departments. These equipments are new to this country but the partial list of users attached will be, we think, sufficient guarantee of the importance which is placed upon them in different parts of the world. It is also of interest to note that users in this country have already expressed the opinion that, for different purposes, they are the best of their kind, and we are ourselves convinced that in the near future their uses will be very much increased in a diversity of industries. Equipment of this kind cannot, naturally, be supplied at a low initial cost but the prices asked are not only fair and reasonable but will stand very favourable comparison with any other equipment claiming to be of similar utility from a research point of view. We shall be pleased to quote you at any time and to furnish any information which you may consider necessary in connection with any particular requirements you may have in view. Yours faithfully, J.Cochrane & Co. | ||
