Re BENTLEY FABROIL TIMING GEARS.

2 sets of Fabroil Timing Gears have been tested by the works and the Test Dept., and they have proved to be a good job.

Consequently a further 8 sets were passed through, and these have also proved to be satisfactory.

As regards cost, the above Engines were put through a temporary bonus time on the basis of a third of the existing bonus time, and we are hopeful that this can, in due course, be further reduced.

One important feature of the above is that no lapping of the Steel Gears was carried out, the bearing in each case being reasonably across the tooth.
