We have not finally decided upon the rating of the rear road springs which will ultimately be fitted to B.III. In order to enable the spring shackles and front spring mounting, rebound straps and jacks to be settled, however, we have laid down that the car will run with 3½" bump clearance and a maximum of 9½" total spring movement. We have proved that with 6" rebound the present jack is satisfactory. Whatever rating of spring is employed, we wish to use the long shackles. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
