Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG2.6.24. OBJECT OF TEST. To prevent brake jaggers. TESTER. A.J.Lidsey. A.C.Lovesey. CONDITIONS. Tests carried out on a chassis fitted with standard front brake axle and springs - front brake operated by direct foot pressure only. SUMMARY OF TEST. We had hoped that comparatively little friction would have prevented brake jaggers but as will be seen, considerable amount of friction is necessary. These tests confirm that the twist on the axle is considerable and likely to cause dangerous steering. When we bolted one of these arms solid, we prevented jaggers. Whilst we have this apparatus rigged up, we are carrying out further tests to provide information. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
