PLEASE ADDRESS YOUR REPLY TO:- WAT/W/9. Messrs. Rolls-Royce,Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, On the 30th ult., you wrote to us under reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/MH{M. Huckerby} in regard to your enquiry for a Cooper-Stewart Speedometer to suit a Warner gearbox. Before we can quote you the question of the R.P.M. of the flexible shaft has to be borne in mind. As you are unable to trace any special markings on the Speedometer gear we can only suggest that you be supplied with a 17 or 18 toothed pinion which could be done from stock. No doubt you will easily be able to verify if it forms a satisfactory mesh with the Speedometer gear. Yours faithfully, THE COOPER-STEWART ENGINEERING CO. LTD.
