R U G B Y.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the special plugs you supplied us with sometime ago, 2 dozen of the KCl plugs have been running on bench tests for 108 hours. These plugs have not given the slightest trouble and appear to be still in excellent condition. The plugs have been used for several severe tests apart from the ordinary routine testing which, as you are aware, is very severe on plugs. Although we have had single plugs to run for a longer time, I think it is the first time when we have had 2 dozen plugs run so consistently without giving trouble. They are undoubtedly far superior to the KRS.
Owing to pre-ignition troubles we are recommending all KRS plugs should be replaced on our engines. Certain failures have occurred which have been caused by a pre-ignition which has set up abnormal stresses in the engine.
As regards the D.11 plugs, these have not run far enough for us to venture any opinion on these yet.

Yours faithfully,
