The pull rod from the foot pedal should be carried on the foot pedal lever direct to avoid the excess of torsional deflection with the arrangement shewn on N. scheme 547. Diagonals should not be added to the "Goshawk" frame yet.

Detail designs should not be made of the brake gear until the general arrangement scheme has been passed. This latter remark also applies to design work generally.

Mr. Royce would like you to alter the general arrangement drawing N. Scheme 547, blue print of which we return here-with, and send him the altered scheme before proceeding with the detail schemes on this job.
