Dear Sirs,

We acknowledge with thanks yours of the 20th instant.

We are interested to note that the Clutch Servo Friction Linings gave satisfactory service but naturally we are disappointed to hear that you prefer to standardise another type.

The material of which the tested Linings were made was our "Safeguard 400" quality. It is used extensively for Brake Linings and we have regular business from such important authorities as The London Passenger Transport Board, The Associated Equipment Co., and others.

As a progressive firm we think you would be interested to test a set of these Linings to compare the result with your standardised type and we should be very pleased to supply this free of cost for the purpose if you would furnish blue prints or detailed dimensions.

Yours faithfully,
GANDY'S,
(The G.B.M.Co.Ld.)
General Manager.
