Dear Sirs:

In reply to your letter of the 30th instant, kindly note that the Set sent to you was tested most carefully for an hour.

We have tested the Valve you have sent back, and find this to be perfect in every way.

There is one point which would prevent the Set working, namely, the screws which hold the speaker wires into the Set may have been inserted without the insulating washers. This causes the screws to short inside the set, with the result that there would be no performance.

However, as the job is urgent, we have sent you another set, which we know works perfectly, and will you therefore return the Set not required, tomorrow if it is convenient, in view of the present circumstances.

Would you please show the enclosed leaflet, describing the SPORTER Radio, to the members of your Staff. The nett trade price is £4.10.0. and the set really performs well. The first large shipment, which arrived yesterday, was immediately sold, and deliveries will commence again in about 14 days. This Set is ideal for use in dug-outs, and it is the only really convenient portable set on the market today.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. WORLD RADIO LIMITED.
