X832 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Les.1/KT. February 20th 1933. The Packless Gland Co, Ltd., Thermoflex Works, Windmill Road, Sunbury, Middlesex. Dear Sirs, We attach a print of a shock damper control bellows F.100773. The bellows is operated by an internal oil pressure which may rise to 30 lbs/sq.in. at a maximum. The required movement of the bellows is .200". We are experiencing some difficulty in obtaining this movement. In the drawing attached you can see the room available for the bellows. We would like you to send sample bellows with dummy ends, instead of the machined ends as shewn in the drawing, giving the greatest flexibility you can. We are quite ready for you to alter any dimensions that will not necessitate any other alterations to the casing etc. Will you please quote us the price per unit for supplying the required finished bellows with the proper ends when dealing with batches of 800 bellows. We should also like a quotation for supplying the bellows only, so that the end pieces are made and fitted at our works. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
