[Text struck through: By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} ] c. to He. X4426 AERO/MG/1.11.22 [Circular Stamp: RECEIVED 1 NOV 1922] I would remind you that Mr. Trier, of Messrs. T.B. Andre & Co., left a one armed Type 104 Shock Absorber on the occasion of his visit to these Works on the 18th ultimo, with a view to our testing same out, and its use on the front suspension of our 40/50 HP. Chassis. In addition to this they have since submitted a pair of their Duplex Long Hartford Shock Absorbers, which they are anxious we should try out, as they claim these are even better than those we are using at present on the 40/50 HP. I understand these Duplex Shock Absorbers are being largely fitted to powerful Touring Cars on the Continent.
