ALTERED METHOD OF REAR SPRINGING. X4117

We have four cars which we wish to spring at the rear by the method outlined in our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}3/LG30.9.27.
For all except Kruse's car we should like to use your 25% stiffer spring with altered initial camber. For Kruse's car we should like to use a standard stronger spring with altered initial camber to reproduce exactly the results that have given such satisfaction on 117-MC and 10-EX cars.

| Car and Chassis No. | Total sprung rear wt. allowed for. | Poundage and type of spring required. |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| Capt. Kruse. 38-TC. | 2890 lbs. | 2 std. springs of 2675 and 2775 lbs. with their initial camber altered to 1.4". |
| Sir John Latta. 82-LC. | 3060 lbs. | 25% stiffer type spring with 1.4" free camber. Rating. N.S. 475 lbs/1" O.S. 485 lbs/1" |
| London Trials car. | 3000 lbs. | 25% stiffer type spring with 1.4" initial camber. Rating. N.S. 470 lbs/1" O.S. 480 lbs/1" |
| Experimental car. 8-EX. | 3030 lbs. | 25% stiffer type spring with 1.4" positive initial camber. Rating. N.S. 470 lbs/1" O.S. 480 lbs/1" |
