To Rn.{Mr Robinson} COPY. X4111. 8.12.30. REPORT ON STAYBRIGHT WHEEL TESTS ON BUMP CHASSIS FOR 63 HOURS. This wheel was fitted on the off side rear of the Bump chassis and tested for 63 hours, under the following conditions - 105 D.R.P.M. Tyre Pressure 60 lbs/sq.in. Ballast and box 640 lbs. Water was splashed on to the wheel during the whole test, from the same source as that which cools the rear shock absorbers. The Staybright qualities do not show any signs of deterioration and the spokes are as when fitted all firm. In addition to the above test, it has stood in the yard for eight days during the recent wet weather without any effect to the Staybright qualities. This wheel was inspected every four hours during the test. Rear springs used for this test were rolled eyes and drilled bushes. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Greatorex. 8.12.30. | ||
