Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} has instructed in accordance with CJ's authority to immediately proceed to order material for the first 100 sets for T. series. The material will have to be ordered up for EAC.111. as we know it at present, therefore will you please instruct the O.O. immediately which present 40/50 Super Sheets they may work to which are suitable for EAC.111, also give them instructions as quickly as possible for the following special EAC.111. features;- FRAME & FITTINGS. Frame to be modified to the latest scheme and the new front dumb irons and rear bracket for new springs, also new rubber buffer. FRAME TIES. The modified Tie Rod should be instructed. FRONT SPRINGS & FITTINGS. The new 25% stronger front spring should be ordered. FRONT AXLE. This should be the one with front brakes including the new cross steering, but those parts of the front brake which will be affected by the inclusion of any of the proposed modified scheme should be held up, including the brake brackets. SIDE STEERING TUBE. This should be the modified type. PEDALS. These should be of the modified type. CLUTCH MECHANISM. Same as present 40/50, but modified to suit the new type pads. | ||
