BENTLEY CHASSIS. ----------------- Mr. Gordon Armstrong has written saying he has bought a 3 1/2 litre Bentley and intends to modify this chassis by fitting his own patented system of independent springing to it. In order to get out a scheme which is suitable he is asking for arrangement blueprints of the front axle and the forward end of the frame. I see no objection to supplying these, as the car is his own and he must obviously carry the responsibility for any changes he decides to incorporate. There is no doubt that later he will submit the car to us, although he does not suggest this in his letter, so that the work done by him would be useful to compare with our results, and would represent experimental work for which we have not had to bear the cost.
