Messrs S.Smith & Sons.,
Cricklewood Works,
LONDON N.W.2.

For the attention of Mr.V.Russell.

Dear Sirs,

You will remember handing to us sometime ago, a petrol gauge meter with special bakelite varnished windings. We fitted this gauge to one of our Bentley chassis which recently completed 15,000 miles running in France and no trouble was experienced.

If you still desire to have this feature we will arrange to issue a Standardisation Sheet immediately as we have no objection to the modified method of impregnating the windings.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
