R2/P 4.11.13. COPY Sheet 2. It also shows the enormous desirability of having a light engine and saving all the weight possible on the front wheels and using more sprung weight in the rear of the car. One therefore comes to the conclusion that a little extra weight carried behind the centre of the chassis is rather an advantage than a disadvantage, and this tends to make the practice of heavy bodies less objectionable and increases the desirability of arranging the places for spare tools, spare tyres, etc. as far back as possible. Our 2301 is particularly under a disadvantage that way, as we carry the two spare wire wheels right forward. R.{Sir Henry Royce} 1804 MADE AT CROXLEY | ||
